Cecilia Katherine Fleming, 78 of Traverse City and formerly of the Detroit area, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Munson Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Cecilia was born on April 30, 1935 in Wyandotte, MI to the late Frank and Michalina (Senkowska) Rutecki. She was married to Clayton Pridemore Fleming in 1953. Cecilia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family and friends were the highlight of her life and she especially enjoyed being able to interact with her great-grandchildren. Bingo and collecting memorabilia were some of her favorite activities. Everyone who met Cecilia loved her. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed entertaining people with her jokes and stories. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving Cecilia are her children, John Sr. (Kim) Fleming of Traverse City, MI; Frank (Wendy) Fleming of Taylor, MI; Michaline (Roger) Ledford of Byron, MI; 13 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Gene Romanowski, of Allen Park, MI; Virginia Tankiewicz of Farmington Hills, MI; and one brother Gabriel Rutecki, of Wyandotte, MI.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her son, Clayton JR Fleming of Taylor, MI and eight of her siblings.
