Charlene "Char" Lawrence, 70, of Traverse City passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Munson Medical Center.
Char was born on August 11, 1946 in Detroit, MI to the late Al and Mary (Nowicki) Lawrence.
Char worked as a nurse at the State Hospital. She retired after more than 20 years of dedicated service to her patients. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, jigsaw puzzles, and reading.
Surviving Char are her brothers; Jim (Pam) Lawrence of Iowa and Jon (Cindy) Lawrence of Kingsley, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Char is preceded in death by her parents, companion Mike Clous and beloved cat of over 18 years, Bear.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cherryland Humane Society. Char's family is being cared for by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
