Traverse City-Charmon Marie Cribbs passed away peacefully Good Friday 2014. Charmon was born in Kaleva, Michigan to Irma(Raatz) and Leonard Kamppinen. She was a graduate of Kaleva High School and attended Michigan State University .
Charmon was active in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kaleva until her move to Traverse City. She was also an active member in Sweet Adelines Manistee Chapter, loved to sing, was an avid sports fan who adored the Detroit Tigers. Amongst many things she loved to travel and traveled the world. She was also very proud of her Finnish heritage and was a great contributer to it.

Charmon is survived by her husband of 69 years, John Cribbs, daughters, Candace Cribbs Meili of Lexington, KY, Carla Cribbs Spalten of San Antonio, TX., and son Jon Cribbs of Traverse City. Grandchildren, Christopher W. Smith, Corbin Cribbs Smith, Trece Spalten, Tina Spalten, Abby Cribbs, Levi Cribbs and Owen Fisher Cribbs. sisters, Shirley Blakeslee, Carol Klapp, Mamie Malmquist and brother Thomas Kamppinen.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday may 2, 2014 at 3:00PM at the Advent Lutheran Church, 8481 Lake Ann Rd., Lake Ann, MI 49650.
