Cheryl Marquis Darlington

Cheryl Marquis Darlington was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She left this world suddenly on December 23, 2021, at the age of 74, in her Traverse City, Michigan home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lorraine (Pitcok) Marquis.

Cheryl was born on August 26, 1947, in Lynwood, California. She graduated from Speedway High School in Speedway, Indiana in 1960. Cheryl married Frank Herbert Darlington on December 5, 1970. Together, they had two daughters, Lorra and Melissa. Cheryl delighted in the simple pleasures of life. A voracious reader, lover of music, and prolific gardener. Cuttings from her plants can be found in the homes of everyone who knew her. Cheryl also made art with her hands—from knitting to crocheting, sewing to quilting. She put a piece of herself in everything she created.

Cheryl leaves behind her loving husband Frank; daughters Lorra (Todd) Dunckley; Melissa (Josh) VerHage; grandsons, Phillip, Sawyer, Felix and Archer; and granddaughter Madeleine.
