Clifford Stanley Shanoski, 64, of Traverse City was taken home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Munson Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Monday, April 27, 1953 to Alexander and Helen (Morawski) Shanoski in Detroit, MI. He grew up in Harper Woods and attended Bishop Gallagher High School where he played football as a linebacker. Upon graduation from high school he attended Central Michigan University and earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Clifford owned the SAIF Insurance Company in Kingsley for 17 years.
Clifford was an outdoorsman and found his passion in hunting, skiing and boating. He was a gifted guitarist and enjoyed singing and whistling. A talented dancer, he was a three-time member of SwingShift with the Stars, having won the competition once.
Clifford was a loving husband, father, brother and son. He is survived by his wife Paula (Mori) Shanoski of Ontario, Canada; daughters Ellen Shanoski of Traverse City, Renee (Seth) Harris of Traverse City and Nicole (Landon) Meggison of Traverse City; mother Helen Shanoski; sister Linda (Steve) Shivinsky; brothers Rick (Mary) Shanoski and Robert Shanoski; and granddaughter Joslyn Shanoski.
He was preceded in death by his father Alexander Shanoski.
The family is holding a celebration of life at 1pm on Saturday August 12, 2017 at The Kensington Church formerly called Baypoint.
