Colleen Savage

Colleen Savage died peacefully at French Manor Green on June 13, 2025 at the age of 78 years. She was the daughter of Norma and Fred Carroll. Colleen and her husband Michael Savage lived in the 1880 homestead situated on the Old Mission Peninsula. She was a graduate of the University of Michigan and went on to graduate from the Great Lakes Maritime Academy. Her career on the ships led her to be a First Mate on the Environmental Protection agency vessels Roger Simons and the Lake Guardian as well as other larger ships that hauled freight for Ford Motor Co. Marine division. Preceding her in death are her husband, Michael, her parents Fred and Norma Carroll, two brothers Terry and Patrick Carroll. She is survived by brother Timothy Carroll and sister Michele (John) Hicks, brother in laws, Chris (Deb) Savage, Brad (Sherry) Savage and Matt (Dana) Savage. A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 16th at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church on Old Mission Peninsula.
