Constance "Connie" Lee Moore
TRAVERSE CITY – Constance "Connie" Lee Moore passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Boardman Lake Glens in the loving care of her family.
Connie was born on March 20, 1940 to John and Sophia (Kaniewski) Martin in Traverse City.
Connie was born and raised in Traverse City where she graduated from Traverse City Central High School. After graduation, Connie had three children; Kimberly, Jon, and Wendy. After her kids were born Connie went to work for a short while with the Record Eagle, and Sheffer Collet Co, then with Chef Pierre where she worked a majority of her life in the administrative offices retiring in 1986.
Connie married James R. Moore where together the two lived in the Traverse City area. James passed away in 1987 and Connie remained widowed from there on forward.
Connie absolutely loved to paint. She enjoyed change and was known to move things around and put a fresh coat of paint throughout the house regularly. She loved art, and interior design. She had a love for animals and was an avid reader. Above all, Connie was a fiercely independent woman rising to any challenge she faced.
Connie is survived by her children; Kimberly (Barry) Brooke, Shelter Island, NY, Wendy (Paul) Maurer, Traverse City, grandchildren; Marrissa (Dakoske) Johnathan Wege, Bloomfield Hills, Elyse (Dakoske) Boyd, Traverse City, Sophie Dakoske, Traverse City, Ryan and Megan Riley, Scotland, Lydia Molby, Colorado, and Ava, Zack, and Michael Molby all of Santa Fe, NM. Connie is also survived by many great-grand children and nieces.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Donna Norton, son, Jon Molby, and grandson, Dylan Molby.
Connie had a great love for her grandchildren; she will be dearly missed by her family and all the friends she leaves behind.
Per Connie's request cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
