Constance "Connie" Rehahn

Constance Bernice Rehahn (Miller) age70 of Traverse City passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, at Medilodge of Suttons Bay as a result of Alzheimer's disease. She was born June 9, 1948 in Wayne County Detroit Michigan to Robert and Sarah (Haines) Miller. She married the love of her life Daniel W. Rehahn on March 6, 1971. They moved to Traverse City in 1978 together where they expanded their lives with a broad net of loved friends and family. They were inseparable from the start of their relationship with a bond to last an eternity. Any whom saw them dance together knew they belonged.
Connie is survived by her loving husband, Daniel, sharing 47 years of marriage and 52 years together. Her four children Jason and Christina (Jakee), Chad and Maria (Pico), Kelly and Ben (Lawshe), and Matthew; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Sarah E. Miller (Haines), her father Robert H. Miller and her brother Robert J. Miller.
Connie's passions included dance, art, reading, and her family. She was the most warmhearted, compassionate, and caring person one could meet. With a smile and a hug, she treated everyone she met like family opening her home to any who needed it.
Connie was passionate about all people being treated equal. If someone were to challenge such a view, a warning followed by a drink in the face, would be an expected reaction. She felt regardless of race or creed that we all share this beautiful world together and should be treated as equals.
Her passion and love for all of humanity will be carried on for generations in her children and grandchildren. Her legacy will live on.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2019 as Connie requested. Should any wish to express their sympathy, in lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation to the Alzheimer's Association be made in Connie's name at http://www.alz.org/nca/donate .
The family is being cared for and served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
