Cynthia Harrington, 88, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025.

Cynthia was born to Marie B. and William S. Wennerberg on March 4, 1937 in Boston, MA.

Cynthia was a graduate of Jeanne D'Arc Academy in Milton, MA and Wheelock College in Boston, MA. Cynthia taught K-5 in Boston and NY. She also taught swimming and water fitness in NY, Houston TX, and Traverse City for 45 years. She married Ed Harrington in 1957 in Boston, MA and had two sons, Ted and Rob.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Ted and her brother Bill Jr.

She is survived by her son Rob (Kelly); daughter-in-law Mary; grandchildren Taylor and Kelly and great grandchildren Levi, Liam, Landon and Olivia.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11:30 am at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior. For any unable to attend in person, the service can be watched at www.rjfh.tv

Interment will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in the summer of 2026.
