Dana C. Wells, 89, life long resident of Old Mission Peninsula passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026 at Munson Hospital.

Dana was born on May 9, 1937 to the late Floyd and Helen (Christopher) Wells.

On October 25, 1958 he married the former Anita Lois Wells. Together they built a wonderful family and celebrated nearly 68 years together.

Dana was a freight hauler and farmer. Like most farmers, he enjoyed watching the spring time blooms, the summertime harvest of cherries and apples and enjoying the fruit of his hard work. He also liked to hunt deer and small game. One of his hobbies that brought him great joy was bowling. He was a long-time member of Farm Bureau and the NRA. He loved motorcycling with his friends and rode his motorcycle as long as he was physically able to do so. He loved going to the Upper Peninsula to our 40 acres there as long as he was able to maintain it. He loved meeting his Wisconsin best friend and cousin (cousin Gilbert Moran and wife, Loraine) there.

Dana was preceded in death by his beloved son Scott and his brother Dennis , and best friend and cousin, Gilbert Moran.

Dana is survived by his wife Anita; daughter Shana (husband - James White) Wells-White and son David “Brent” Wells; grandchildren: Brittany Wells , Jessica and Nicholas White; and brother Terry (Wife - Rebecca) Wells.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be laid to rest at Ogdensburg Cemetery on Thursday, Aug 20th 2026 at 11:00 am.
