TRAVERSE CITY - Daniel Lawrence deManigold, 61, of Interlochen, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Munson Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Daniel was born on Saturday, February 20, 1954 to Albert and Mary (Yeip) deManigold in Grosse Pointe.
He had been a wood worker and machinist for many years. Most notably was known for his skilled wood working abilities. He could craft anything from a grandfather clock to a tree house. Some other hobbies were fishing, American folk art, snowmobiling and motorcycles.
For those that knew him, they would say that Dan always lived life to the fullest.
Daniel is survived by his long time loving companion Donna Brown, his daughter Angela, his mother Mary, his brothers Dennis (Susan) deManigold of Williamsburg, David deManigold of Detroit, Donald (DeDe) deManigold of Traverse City, and sister Denise (Scott) Wesselmann of Shelby Township.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father Albert Frank deManigold Jr., his brother Dean deManigold and his aunt JoAnne Manley.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday January 18 at Christ The King Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 also at the church. The Rev. Fr. Raymond Cotter will preside. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Kingsley in the spring.
Rather than flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Daniel's daughter, Angela Christine deManigold for incurred medical expenses in care of Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. 305 Sixth Street Traverse City, MI 49684
