Daniel A. Dolanski, D.O. of Traverse City, went to be with his heavenly father on October 1, 2012.
Dan was born in Hamtramck, Michigan to Arthur and Stella Dolanski on September 16, 1946.
He married his true love, Patricia, on March 22, 1969 in Detroit, Michigan.
Dan loved life. He was an adoring husband, loving father and grandfather, avid fisherman, caring physician, and devoted friend. Dan knew the meaning of joy and found delight in a cup of coffee on the deck, the thrill of a big catch, his daughter's soprano voice, a hearty laugh over a good joke, and a made-up game of sticker-tag.
Dan received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from The College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, 1973. He was in private practice in Kalkaska, Michigan for 11 years. In 1985, Dan accepted a position with the State of Michigan, where he worked most recently as a medical doctor for Disability Determination.
Dan is survived by his wife, Patricia Jo Dolanski; his daughters Jessica Jo Moy (Derek) of Okemos and Kimberley Jo Osburn (Joshua) of West Bloomfield; his grandsons Cameron Daniel Moy and Morgan Hennings Moy of Okemos; and brother, Dr. Eugene A. Dolanski.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Stella Dolanski.
