Weidman – Daniel Joseph Kolakowski, 69, of Weidman passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
Dan was born on August 20, 1951 in Wyandotte to the late Jerome Joseph and Betty Jean (Calhoun) Kolakowski.
Dan honorably served in the United States Army.
As a dedicated social worker, Dan helped those who struggled with everyday tasks that most of us take for granted. He had genuine compassion for all under his care. Dan found joy in helping others.
A great cat lover, Dan always had one or two around the house from a local rescue. He also enjoyed walks and riding his bike.
Fondly, Dan will be remembered for his gentle soul and helping heart. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents.
Dan is survived by his siblings Deborah (Ron) Hurd, Kathie (Peter) Stakoe, Janine (Jay) Hardin, Jeffrey (Cathy) Kolakowski and Betsy Kolakowski; many nieces and nephews and many other friends and family.
A Celebration of Dan's life will take place in the future.
