Grawn - Daniel David McIntyre, 47 of Grawn passed away Saturday, December 9, at Lake Shore Adult Foster Care. He was born with the neuromuscular Huntington's gene which shaped half his life.
Danny was born on June 12, 1970 in Kalamazoo to the late James William McIntyre and Jane Ann MacLellan.
Danny graduated from Central High School in Kalamazoo, MI. While in high school he was one of the star pitchers for the baseball team. He was proud to have struck out Derek Jeter twice during his career. Danny loved heavy metal. He was a founding member of the band Worhead. Like his father and brother, Danny loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and being on or near water.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tim McIntyre.
His life will be celebrated with the Lake Shore Adult Foster Care staff who so faithfully took care of him for the past six years. They cared for him as a family member and their care will never be forgotten. He will also be missed by his step-mom Joan K. Mitchell, nephews Jamie and Shaun McIntyre, and Matt MacLellan. He is also survived by his son Alex.
In accordance with family wishes, Danny will be laid to rest in Duck Lake along with his father and brother.
