Daniel 'Dan' Roy White, 63, of Traverse City passed away Monday, August 27, 2018.

Dan was born on April 24, 1955 to Raymond and Caroline (Underwood) White in Ludington, MI. He attended Custer High School and after graduation he moved to Traverse City where he started DW Cleaning. He served many businesses in the Traverse City area for over 38 years before retiring in 2011. He married Charyl 'Sherry' Hammond on September 9, 1988 at a service in Branch, MI.

Dan was a devoted husband to Charyl and spoiled her at every opportunity. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, especially loving his only grandson Noah. He enjoyed taking small adventurous day trips to Mackinac City, St. Ignace, Cadillac and Ludington. He enjoyed coney islands from Clyde's Drive In in St. Ignace, visiting lighthouses, fishing, naval ships and maritime museums and tending to Sherry's flowers.

He is survived by his wife Charyl White of Traverse City; daughter Darcy (Victor) Clark of Traverse City; grandson Noah Clark; and his beloved grand-dogs Elliott and Fiona.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Dan's wishes cremation has taken place and private services will be held at a later date.
