COPEMISH — Danny King Brewer Sr., 62, of Copemish, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday Feb. 12, 2011.Dan was born April 1, 1948, in Eastport, to the late Claude and Maxine (King) Brewer. He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Marilyn Widrig, on Oct. 14, 1967, in Acme. Dan honorably served our country in the United States Army. He was a master at delegation and a great boss in the masonry and construction fields.Gardening and cooking were just a couple of Dan's favorite hobbies. Dan and Marilyn enjoyed their home together in Copemish, where they gardened and ever-so-gently argued about what projects Dan should finish before starting the next. He will be remembered for his love and fondness of Stroh's Beer.Dan was so proud of his family and truly cherished his time spent with his grandchildren.Dan is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Danny Brewer Jr. and Randy (Stacy) Brewer; grandchildren, Nicole Annette Brewer, Aiden Claude Brewer and Eli Seth Brewer; siblings, Betty Jo (Ed) Hannah, Earl (Alicia) Brewer, Robert Brewer, Nancy (Doug) Richards and James Brewer; and his loving dog, Sally.Dan was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Tammy K. Brewer.A celebration honoring Dan's life will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, with a visitation one hour prior at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
