Darlene Drewyour's Obituary
Darlene Lee Drewyour, 87 of Traverse City passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2019.
She was preceded in death in 2002 by her husband of 52 years, Fred Drewyour
She is survived by her son Rick (Barbara) Drewyour and granddaughter Sara of Lake Ann and daughter Debra Smith of Traverse City and grandson Dwayne Redd of Evansville Indiana, 5 great grandchildren, sisters; Sandra, Christine, Michelle and Cricket as well as a brother Ross, all of Grand Rapids.
Darlene enjoyed traveling and has ventured from Alaska to Florida to the New England states and the Midwest, even traveling to Europe. She had a soft spot for animals and had three cats at the time of her death.
Darlene moved from the Detroit area to Benzonia in 1963 and retired from Mitchell-Bentley corp. Later, after moving to Traverse City and the passing of her husband, she was a volunteer at Munson Medical Center. She was a patient escort and enjoyed meeting many new friends as she transported them from their room to their waiting ride home.
Per Darlene's wishes cremation has taken place and services will be held in the spring.
