Darlene A. Hawkins

Darlene A. Hawkins, 91, of Traverse City, passed away with peace on March 24, 2022.
Darlene was born February 28, 1931 to the late Bert and Helen (Funk) Walter in Grand Rapids.
She was a long-time member of St. Francis Catholic Church and a passionate addition to the choir. She is best described by her children as one of the strongest women you would ever know. Her greatest accomplishment was her family and her treasured relationships with friends.
She leaves behind dearly missing her sons Thomas (Patty), Jack (Jennifer) and Kenneth as well as grandchildren; Cole, Raylene, Jacob, Melanie, Janna, Jessica, John and Lauren, as well as 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Colon, her parents her daughter Cynthia, her son Daniel, her sister Imogene and her brother Ernest.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday March 30th at St Francis Catholic Church in Traverse City. Mass will begin at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior. Darlene's final resting place will be Resurrection Cemetery in Grand Rapids. Burial is scheduled for April 1, 2022 at 1:00pm.
