David Robert Badgley, 27, of Traverse City, Michigan passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. David was born on July 25, 1996 in Flint, Michigan.

David loved to go for long drives in his wheelchair van, while taking in the scenery and listening to music. He also looked forward to his bus rides to and from school. He was attending Grand Traverse Industries, after graduating from Northwest Educational Services in 2022. David spent many years attending Marion Crouse Instructional Center in Flushing, Michigan, before moving to the Traverse City area. In his spare time, he loved boat rides, playing catch with his dog, hanging out in his playroom, while making music choices, watching his favorite SpongeBob SquarePants episode, or the movie Shrek, and ripping paper lawn bags into tiny pieces. David was always clapping his hands and remained undefeated at "David Says", his version of Simon Says. His bright smile and laughter will be truly missed by all who knew him.

David is survived by his mom, Tonya (Rob Rubio) Bailey, his dad, David (April) Badgley, two sisters and a brother, Bailey (John Dindia) Samp, Gabrielle (Brent Shafer) Badgley and Max Badgley. Also surviving are his grandparents; Robert and Kay Bailey, Jed Spillane, David and Veronika Badgley and Robert and Jane Rubio as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Renee Spillane.
