David Mark Kik

Traverse City - David Mark Kik, 57, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2014. David was born on June 11, 1957 in Wyoming MI,. to his parents the late Willard N. and Ann (Dykstra) Kik.

David graduated from Hudson High School in Hudson, FL., in 1975 and attended Northwestern Michigan College pursuing his passion for cooking and later working in the food industry.

He married his wife Carol (Savage) Kik on April 6, 1983 in Traverse City and the couple raised one daughter together.

He loved to garden and cook all types of culinary foods for both large and small groups of friends. His favorite music was Classic Rock especially everything by Ozzie Osborne. He loved being with his family and always made time for his grandson who was his pride and joy.

David is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Alicia Ann Kik of Traverse City; grandson, Nixon David Lee Pierce; brother, James Kik (Carolyn) of Honor; sister, Annette Kik of Port Richey, FL.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Willard N. Kik.

He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday June 27, 2014 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
