David Michael Langolf, 78, of Suttons Bay, passed away on Monday January 31, 2022 at Munson Medical Center. David was born on July 9, 1943 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, to the late David and Darlene (Baird) Langolf. He married the love of his life Carole Sue Knight on May 25, 1963 in Armada, Michigan. David worked as an independent designer in the automotive industry, retiring in 2001 after over 40 years of service.

After retirement, David and Sue moved to Suttons Bay. Living on the water he loved boating and fishing. He also enjoyed being in his workshop, woodworking. Above all, spending time with his family was his greatest joy.

David is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sue and his three sons; David Langolf, Bradley (Donna) Langolf and Darrell (Jodi) Langolf. Also surviving are his six grandchildren; David Langolf, Rachael (Kim) Schulz, Heather (Shaun) German, Kimberly (Derrick) Crawford, Molli Langolf and Calvin Langolf as well as great-grandchildren; Josie, Parker, Madison, Brooklyn and one on the way.

In accordance with David's wishes cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial donation to the American Lung Association.
