David James Rancour, 80 of Fife Lake, passed away January 12, 2021.

David was born on November 1, 1940 in Traverse City to the late Alphose and Minnie (Knowles) Rancour.

On August 25, 1960 David married Margaret L. Wood. Together they celebrated 51 years before she passed in 2012.

David worked for the railroad for many years, first with Penn Central then with Conrail where he retired from in 2002.

David was a good ole farm boy. In his younger years he also liked to snowmobile.

David is survived by his son Paul; granddaughters Brandy (James) Bagley and Tricia (Kurt) Kelly; great grandchildren Keegan McCullen, Chandler Bagley and Michael Kelly; sister Sally Merrick; brother Eugene (Marilyn Joe) Malloy; brother-in-law Earl Smith and many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons Randy and Billy and siblings Louise Smith and Robert Malloy.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 3:00 pm with visitation beginning at 2:00 at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
