TRAVERSE CITY —
David R. Fry, 64, of Kingsley, formerly of Abilene, Texas, died Monday morning, April 16, 2012, at Munson Hospice House, following an extended illness.
Born March 7, 1948, in Abilene, Texas, he was the son of the late Howard Cash and Mary Beulah (Cutbirth) Fry. Born and raised in Abilene, he graduated from Abilene Cooper High School with the class of 1966.
On Oct. 15, 1988, he was united in marriage to Judy A. Carr in Traverse City.
He worked as a sales associate for Charter Communication prior to his failing health.
His biggest thrill was racing dirt bikes, fishing, hunting and visiting with his many friends. He truly was a people person.
David will be fondly remembered for his outgoing personality and his true love for his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 23 years, Judy A. Fry, of Kingsley; sons, Scott (Stephanie) Fry, of Bridgeport, Texas, and Brandon Fry, of Ft. Collins, Colo.; grandchildren, Steven, Dylan, Alex, Cash, Birdie Lee and Molly; siblings, Jim Fry, of Temple, Texas, and Judy Shepard, of Dodge City, Kan.; along with nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Memorial services will be held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home today, April 18, 2012, at 7 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Randy Burgess will officiate.
In remembrance of David, memorials may be directed to the Traverse City Lion Club, PO Box 101, Traverse City, MI 49685. Memorial envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
