Obituary

David W. Stockfisch, age 72, passed away peacefully Friday January 5, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. Dave was born in Traverse City, MI on September 1st, 1945 to Carl and Arvilla (Spencer) Stockfisch. He was an auto parts salesman starting as a manager at Fochtman Motor Company and then worked at Arts Auto Electric until retirement. Dave was very involved in the ministry of WLJN radio station and at his church. Dave was one of the nicest and most generous guys you could ever meet. He was willing to help anyone at any time. He loved people and was happiest with a cup of coffee in his hand chatting with whomever would listen. The outdoors was his favorite place to be- especially "The Pine Tree". He loved hunting and fishing with his family. Dave will be missed by his favorite and only son, Sean (Angela) Stockfisch. Grandchildren; Spencer, Nathan, Jorie, and Ellery Stockfisch. Brothers; Harold (Jane) Stockfisch and John (Diane) Stockfisch, and his nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years Mary Ann and his parents. Visitation for Dave will take place at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Tuesday January 9th from 6:00-8:00pm and on Wednesday January 10th from 10:00-11:00am. The funeral will follow at 11:00am.
