Traverse City - Debra Lynn Radcliffe, 59 of Traverse City passed away October 20, 2012 at her home after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Debra was born on June 25, 1953 in Traverse City to Marguerite Wheeler and Everette Tharp. She was adopted by Joseph Smith.

Debra enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and going yardsaling. She loved spending time with her friends and in her younger years enjoyed being around horses. She was a selfless person who cared about the needs of others before her own. She also enjoyed attending family reunions. Above all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

Debra is survived by her husband Richard "Rick" Radcliffe, son William "Bill" Richard, daughters Melissa Lacey and Tonya Richard, grandchildren Michael, Hannah, Haley, Cody, Alex, and Tyler, and great grandchildren Diamond Roze and Ella Grace Marie, mother Marge Wemple, brothers Dave (Pam) Smith and Joe (Diane) Smith, special friends Sandy, Cheri, Linda, and Lois, and many aunts, uncles, and cousisn.

Debra was preceded in death by her brothers Douglas Craig and Michael Thomas and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
