Debrah Leone Klann, 70, of Traverse City passed away March 24, 2024.
She was born on October 31,1953 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Robert and Noreene (Kowalsky) Klann.
Deb was a resident of the Traverse City area since 1985. She devoted herself to the field of education, earning her master's degree and serving as a special education teacher. She dedicated many wonderful years to the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District and loved working with children until her retirement in 2011. Her energetic passion for teaching left a lasting impact on the lives of her students and colleagues.
An active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Deb found solace and community in attending services and building friendships within the congregation. Outside of her professional and spiritual life, Deb found joy in the simple pleasures, including her love for animals, reading, crafting, and tending to her garden.
Deb is survived by her brother, Daniel (Elizabeth) Klann, nieces and nephews Sarah (Adam) Langner, Carrie (Craig) Helle, and Kristopher (Lacie) Klann, along with many cherished family members and friends. She is reunited in death with her beloved parents, along with her cherished golden retrievers, Carly and Molly.
Deb's kind and joyful spirit, unwavering dedication to her students, and gentle presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will be treasured as she continues to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
