Delores Marie Beck, 57, of Traverse City, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at her home.
Delores was born on Thursday, November 25, 1954 to the late John and Luella (Buck) Savage. She was a life resident of Traverse City and graduated from Traverse City Central High School. She had been employed by the Beach Haus for 19 years prior to her illness.
An avid jigsaw puzzle fan, Delores also enjoyed word search puzzles as well as computer games. She attended Bates Missionary Church when she was able. The most important thing in her life was her love for her family and time spent with them.
Delores is survived by her daughters, Melissa (Michael) Walden and Kelly Beck, both of Traverse City; her grandchildren, Austin Claypool, Felicity Martines and Isabella Walden; her siblings, Lucinda Savage and Larry (Linda) Savage, all of Traverse City and Rosie Lautner of Williamsburg. Also surviving are many special nieces and nephews. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Frances Galligan and her former husbands, Richard Claypool and Bill Beck.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at the Bates Missionary Church with Pastor Clifford Batterbee officiating. Cremation has taken place and her cremated remains will be buried at Acme Cemetery.
