TRAVERSE CITY – Dennis K. Everson, age 67, of Traverse City, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the University Of Michigan Medical School, in the loving care of his family.

Dennis was born to Roy and Gertrude (Avery) Everson on January 28, 1951 in Traverse City. Dennis was raised and grew up in the Traverse City area as he attended and graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1969. Dennis married Pamela (Poertner) Everson, as Dennis was very proud of his family history in the Traverse City area being a third generation.

Dennis spent his life long career working as a surveyor all across the Northern Michigan area. Rarely would you find Dennis inside, as he enjoyed being outdoors as much as he could. He was an avid car enthusiast and loved going to classic car shows and meeting people and making new friends. When you first met Dennis you were never a stranger for long, as he was always quick to make new friends.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Gertrude Everson, wife of 42 years, Pamela, and his aunts; JoAnn Avery and Joan Everson. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Roy, and brother, David.

A visitation for Dennis will take place from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
