Dennis Lee Habedank, 67, of Traverse City, passed away September 24, 2018.
He was born on August 20, 1951 in Flint, Michigan, to the late Alfred and Hilda (Ostun) Habedank.
Dennis had an unending love, appreciation and respect for his wife, his children and his grandchildren. Throughout his career, Dennis held many community oriented positions, which included more than 25 years as a law enforcement officer. He was the selfless man, the people person and the compassionate nurturer. Dennis was also very active in the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived and missed dearly by his wife Nancy, his children; Jason (Stacey), Denise and Robert (Ashley). He will be greatly missed by his amazing and cherished grandkids; Elizabeth, Grant, Garret, Gage, Griffin, Clayton, Adelyn and Nolan. He is also survived and missed by his brothers, Duane and Calvin, sister, Shirley, sister in law Marjorie, mother in law Helen DeVol, special cousin Terrylynn Mauro-Stephenson as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Allan and Gene as well as his father in law Robert DeVol.
Visitation will take place Thursday September 27, 2018 from 5-7pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mapleton with a Rosary following at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday September 28, 2018 at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior also at the church. Father James Bearss will be officiating. Dennis's final resting place will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Mapleton.
