Dennis Alan Pitkavish, age 80, of Grawn, met his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His family will miss his dry humor, joy of singing anything and everything, and his generosity. Dennis proudly served our country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, and he enjoyed his time broadcasting with WLDR for many years. In addition to broadcasting, he enjoyed deer hunting, camping, and watching the Lions.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents: John & Genevieve (Wittstock) Pitkavish; his wife of 49 years, Nancy Pitkavish; grandson, Jason Matthew Schaub Jr.; sisters: Barb Pitkavish, Lynn Decker; and brother-in-law, Dave Salvador.
He is survived by his daughters: Laura (Albert) Lawson, Carmen Ennik, Maria Pitkavish (Ruben Esquivel), Bethany Carsten, Kimberly (Jason) Schaub; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings: Celeste Salvador, Mary Lou (Calvin) Tyson, Johnny (Ernestine) Pitkavish; close family friend: Bruce Clous; and nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service, with military honors, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Oakwood Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Please visit
