Dennis Humphrey Wyckoff, 81, of Interlochen passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Orchard Creek.

Dennis was born on July 15, 1936 in South Bend, IN to the late Louis and Ruth (Humphrey) Wyckoff. He married Jan Sasser on October 10, 1970 in Traverse City.

Dennis honorably served his country in the United States Airforce and the United States Navy. After serving for over 20 years he later worked retail for Sam's Club, Gander Mountain and Eastern Mountain Sports.

In his spare time he loved the outdoors. Camping, biking, hunting, cross country skiing and fishing were some of his favorite activities. He especially liked to camp in the winter and during the summers with his wife Jan. For many years he competed and earned medals while cross country skiing in the Vasa and the White Pine Stampede.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, of almost 48 years, Jan; children Garrett (Lisa) Wyckoff of Woodland, WA, Robert (Victoria) Wyckoff of West Hills, CA, Sharon Manner of Panama City Beach, FL; Rebecca Schneider of Bridgman, MI; sister-in-law Susan (David) Burke of Traverse City, MI; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with two being twins.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Sherri Giroux.
