Dian Marie Mckian

Dian Marie McKian, age 85, died peacefully in her home in Traverse City on November 4, 2022. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family. Dian grew up in Sylvania, Ohio and moved to Old Mission Peninsula with her then husband, Peter J. McKian in 1958, where she helped run the McKian cherry farm and McKian Excavating for years. From 1980 until 2014, she worked as a bookkeeper and sales associate at Trophy Trolley. She is survived by her sons, Steven and Kevin, her daughter, Wendy, her grandson, Steven, her granddaughter, Mackenzie, and other close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Katherine Donaldson, her brother, Russell L. Donaldson, and her former husband, Peter J. McKian.
