One of the most giving and loving people on the face of this earth, Diana Haller, 61, of Essexville passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, with her beloved daughters at her side.
Born in Castroville, TX, Diana was one of nine children born to Adelfina (Cuellar) and Hipolito Flores. Her family later settled in the Thumb of Michigan and she graduated from Laker High School in Pigeon.
Diana was just one of those loving souls that made certain that everyone she was near was a recipient of her caring and loving nature. She always ensured people had what they needed, whether it was a listening ear, a loving hug or a meal to fill their stomach. She filled a room with her engaging smile and a laugh that was infectious and heartwarming. She was a fabulous cook and shared her expertise with many. She never missed an opportunity to gather with friends or family, doing her best to attend as many family functions and events as possible. Most important to her was her family; she loved hard and made sure her family knew they were loved. Any time Diana spent with her family made her happy and she was very proud of each one of them.
Diana loved doing many things but next to socializing, music and dancing were at the top of the list. She was always one of the first people out on the dance floor, and often took her daughters and grandchildren for a spin around the kitchen or a good classic twist in the living room!
Surviving Diana are her husband, Keith Haller of Essexville; daughters, Cassandra (Chris) Sundblad of Bay City, Tessa (Eric) Goslin of Saginaw; stepdaughters, Steffi and Sandra Haller of Germany; stepson, David Haller of Livonia; her grandchildren, Mitchell, currently serving with the U. S. Air Force, Makenna, Maisha, Kinleigh and Wyatt; Aliyannah, Ashlynn and Ethan, great grandson, Baylor and step-grandchildren, Marlon, Jessica and Latoya. Her siblings Evangelina Garza of Sebewaing, Hortensia Gremel of Bayport, Guadalupe Patterson of Omer and Hipolito Flores of Idaho, also survive, along with a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Rudolph Flores, Louise "Licha" Hernandez, John R. Flores and Eusebio "Sam" Flores.
Diana will be remembered in an intimate family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts in Diana's memory may be made to the family, c./o Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, MI 49684.
