Obituary

Diana Aileen (Conrad) Harris, age 85, of Mesick, Michigan, was called Home by Jesus on Friday, August 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Diana was born on March 21, 1940, in Milton, West Virginia, to the late Oce and Lucille (Scarberry) Conrad. She grew up in a lively household with her brothers Ronnie Conrad of Grand Rapids, Danny Conrad and his wife Janet of Milton, West Virginia, and her late brothers Darrell and Richard Conrad. She shared a close bond with her sisters, Carolyn Harris and her husband Del, and Joyce Overmyer and her late husband Jerry.

Diana married the love of her life, Gary Allen Harris, with whom she built a beautiful family and life together until his passing. A talented and creative soul, Diana found joy in oil painting, gardening, canning, carpentry, and was known as an avid clothes maker who could craft anything with her hands. She was a devoted member of Minar Bible Church and proudly served with the Ladies Auxiliary of AMVETS Post 120, dedicating her time to faith and community.

Family was the heart of Diana's life. She is survived by her children: Allen Harris and his wife Janice, Kathleen Andrews and her late husband Richard Andrews, Terri Harris and her late fiancé David Yanska, and Gary Sidney Harris and his wife Tammy. She is also survived by her loving daughter-in-law, Janice (Hoffman) Harris.

Diana's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Ricky, Reyna, Nathan, Darrel, Cody, Sarah, Dilan, Sidney, Garret, and Kayla Harris, Michael Simpkin and Christopher Hamilton. She was blessed with fifteen great-grandchildren: Andrew, Haley, Conner, Rianna, Trever, Emmett, Azariah, Mitchell, Mckenna, Eliott, Ricky, Nathan, Ivie, Lucille, Colt, Hunter, and Sadie "The Bird."

She often said she was truly blessed to have a family that never left her side, caring for her at home with love and devotion until she was called up yonder.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Minar Bible Church, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Diana will be laid to rest at Sherman-Mesick Cemetery immediately after the service. A reception to celebrate Diana's life will be held following the burial at AMVETS Post 120.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Minar Bible Church, in honor of Diana's life of kindness and service.
