Diana Morgan (Dimarco), 79, of Traverse City, MI, passed away peacefully on October 23rd, 2024.
Diana was born on November 23rd, 1944, in Canton, OH, to Michel and Mary Dimarco. She grew up with her sisters, Shari, Carla, and Monique, who would become her lifelong friends and companions. Diana had a passion for music and performance from an early age, which would later shape much of her adult life.
In the 1970s, while enjoying a night out in Detroit, she met the love of her life, Stephen Morgan, who was performing in a band at a local nightclub. The two bonded over their mutual love of music, and from there, the magic unfolded. They have been together since then and were married in 1971 eventually settling in Traverse City. They shared a wonderful life for the past 55 years.
Diana worked as a secretary for an architectural firm, but her true passion was music and theater. She was a talented vocalist and spent many years performing in various theater productions, touching the hearts of thousands with her beautiful voice. Diana was especially active with the Old Town Playhouse in Traverse City, where her dedication and talent left a lasting impact on the community.
An adventurer at heart, Diana loved to travel, exploring the world alongside her family. Her Italian heritage shone through her cooking, especially when she prepared her famous pasta dishes. Whether on stage, in the kitchen, or traveling the globe, Diana's presence was always marked by her signature pink hat.
Diana is survived by her loving husband, Stephen, their sons Brad and Keven, her daughter Deborah, and her sisters, Shari, Carla, and Monique.
A memorial service will be held at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29th. A visitation will be starting at 10:00AM, with the funeral ceremony starting at 11:00AM. There will be a luncheon to follow at the funeral home.
