Traverse City – Diane Barbara Hinsenkamp, 77, of Traverse City passed away from cancer on February 17, 2021 at her daughter's home. The family is grateful to Hospice of Michigan for their help in caring for her.

Diane was born on February 28, 1943 in Detroit, MI to the late Gene and Rita Leach.

Diane excelled at crocheting and created many beautiful glass and porcelain mosaics. Earlier in life she enjoyed traveling, golfing, and playing cards with friends. She will be remembered for her kind and giving nature, her sense of humor, and her support of her family.

Diane was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Kimberly Koss.

Diane is survived by her children Dianna Hinsenkamp, Darren (Diane) Hinsenkamp and Andrea (Len Mankowski) Hinsenkamp; grandchildren Megan and Andrew Hedger, Ryan Lehr, Ellyson and Adam Maleski, Holly, Lola and Jane Hinsenkamp, and Finnian Mankowski; and close friends Nancy Milligan, Delores Zoline, and Virginia Kay.

The family will celebrate her life with a private memorial service this summer.
