Diane Marie Larson completed her earthly journey on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at home in the care of her beloved family. Diane was 62.
Diane Marie Chamberlain was born on July 25, 1957 in Traverse City to parents William and Frances Chamberlain (née Broghamer). She grew up in Traverse City and graduated from Traverse City High School. On September 1, 1979 she married Mark Larson and together they celebrated 40 years of marriage and their children Brandon and Jamie.
Diane was a beloved member of Central Grade School and diligently worked in the food service department. In 2019, the Diane Larson Award was named in her honor at the school in recognition of her enduring good nature, kindness, and impact upon others. She was a bubbly person with an infectious laugh. Outside of school, Diane loved family trips to Tennessee and Sedona, Arizona. Her passions included arts & crafts, knitting, and baking. She enjoyed her Tuesday coffee nights with family and friends, bunko, making ceramics, and collecting scarves. Most of all, Diane passionately loved her family and was the glue that held them all together.
Diane is forever loved by her husband Mark, mother Frances, children Brandon (Meg) Larson and Jamie (Joshua) Hansen, grandchildren: Landon, Kailyn, Ellory, Lyla, and Jaxon, brothers Dale (Diane) Chamberlain and Dean (Debbie) Chamberlain, nieces and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father William, daughter Lindsay Larson, and daughter-in-law Monica Larson.
To remember and celebrate Diane's life, the family will welcome friends at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on the evening of Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m.
