Obituary

INTERLOCHEN — Dianna Lynn McPherson, of Interlochen, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, Oct. 31, 2010, at the age of 53.She was born May 28, 1957, in Bay City, the daughter of the late Jerome J. Monville of Bay City and Virginia (Leonard) Thomas of Cadillac, formerly of Lewiston. She graduated from John Glenn High School in Bay City.Dianna loved animals and for 12 years was the shelter supervisor at the Cherryland Humane Society. She also enjoyed knitting and made many things for her children and grandchildren. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.On March 28, 1993, at The Presbyterian Church, she married Kevin W. McPherson of Traverse City, with the Rev. David L. DeVries officiating.Besides her husband, Dianna is survived by two wonderful daughters, Tamara Lynn (Robert) McArthur, of Charlevoix, and Rachel Shea McPherson (Christopher Parker), of Traverse City; brother, Joseph (Denise) Monville, of Bay City; and three grandchildren whom she loved so much, Logan Robert and Colton Wade McArthur, and Caleb Hunter McPherson; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends by whom she will be greatly missed.Cremation has taken place and according to her wishes, there will be no funeral. A family gathering will be held at a later date.Memorials may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the animal charity of your choice."Mom, you are my best friend, my mentor, my world.
