Dianne loved the movie "It's a Wonderful Life". Her son Kyle said Mom wouldn't have to earn her wings, as the Angels would just put them on her as soon as she arrived in Heaven, a perfect fit.
Dianne was born on August 9, 1952 and was 61 when she was called by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 27, 2013. She will be deeply missed by her husband Larry, sons Justin (Alicia) and Kyle as well as her family and so many friends.
Dianne is survived by her mother Delores Treesh of Kendallville, Indiana; brother Doug (Kim) Treesh of Kendallville; sisters Denise Tedeschi (Nick) of Jensen Beach, Fl and Debbie (Jeff) Carter of Indianapolis, In. She was preceded in death by her father Don.
Dianne loved the arts. She was active in her high school musical theater productions as well as a singer/dancer in Kendallville's Changing Seasons performing troupe. She was a member of the Ball State University Singers where she met her husband Larry. They became part of the original Schussycats at Schuss Mountain in the early 70's and later toured the United States with the traveling show band "Park Avenue". Larry and Dianne were married on October 19, 1974.
Her artistic talents as a gifted singer and dancer gradually moved, through prayer and Divine guidance, to painting. Dianne loved the Holidays but Christmas was her favorite. For some 20 years Dianne made her living painting images of Santa Claus on driftwood from the Grand Traverse Bay, over 10,000 unique and original works of art.
Dianne was beautiful in every way, both inside and out and her faith was endless. She delivered Meals on Wheels for decades and at the end of each delivery day would revisit anyone on her route she thought needed some extra love from her that afternoon.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and daughter who always put the needs of others before her own. She was gifted and accomplished in so many ways but lived by the rule of "humbleness is greatness".
Dianne spend countless hours on the phone with her Mom, Denise, Debbie, Doug and Kim, keeping her family close while solving all the problems of the world. She had a fabulous sense of humor and only took seriously the things that really mattered in life; her faith, family and friends. She was the toughest kid on the block when something was wrong in the world and Dianne would work till she made it right.
She loved watching her boys play sports. She loved the Young Rascal's "It's a Beautiful Morning" and Gene Pitney. She loved her dogs Auggie Doggie and Cupcake. She loved talking about politics, reading books, especially the Bible. She loved to travel but she loved being at home with her family the most. "Mom's a good cook" had special meaning around the Avery house.
Dianne loved so many things in life but her greatest love was her boys, Justin and Kyle. The sweetest music ever made came from Justin rattlin' the keys and Kyle rocking the drum kit. Music and merriment were always in abundance around the Avery house, a cornerstone of the rich pageantry of their lives. Music was the melody carried by Larry and her boys but the harmony came from that strong, glowing, quiet flame that was Dianne.
She was grace and beauty, kindness; a gentle, peaceful soul with a legacy of love and laughter, our angel forever, Dianne.
Visitation will be held on Friday October 4, 2013 from 4-8Pm at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 5, at 11am at Bay Pointe Community Church. Donations may be directed in her honor to the church.
