Obituary

Dianne Sue Hall, 58, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Munson Medical Center surrounded by loving family.

Dianne was born on November 14, 1960 to Donald and Joanne Hall at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was a 1979 graduate of Ottawa Hills High School. Her passion to help the sick and injured led to her a career in nursing and she was a 1987 graduate of the Blodgett Nursing School. Immediately after graduation, Dianne moved to Elk Rapids and began working at Munson Medical Center as a registered nurse for the next 32 years. Dianne married Brian Sutter and in 1994 they adopted the light of her life, Travis. Her areas of dedicated care included medical surgery, mental health, urology, and gynecology with suspicion of cancer. Dianne's impact upon her patients and colleagues was that of leadership, her glimmering smile, contagious laugh and a tender touch.

Dianne is forever loved by her son Travis; mother Joanne Hoezee and step-father Tom Anderson; sister Denise (Jon) Heeke; brother Don (Michelle) Hoezee; step-siblings Craig, Curt, Darcee, and their families; special nephews Brandon (Amber) Darin, Paul Heeke, Sam and Joseph Hoezee; great niece Siena; great nephews Joel and Drew Darin; many special cousins; special pets Ricky the rabbit and Buddy the dog, and ex-husband but life-long friend Brian Sutter.

She is preceded in death by her father Donald Hall; step-father Harvey Hoezee; her grandparents and beloved nephew Joel.

A visitation for Dianne will be held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on the evening of Sunday, July 14 from 5-8 P.M. A funeral service will follow on Monday, July 15 at the First Presbyterian Church, Elk Rapids at noon with additional visitation beginning at 11 A.M. Pastor Sandra Murray is to officiate. Following the service, the public is invited to join the family in a picnic at the harbor gazebo, Dianne's final wish. The family would like to thank everyone who worked alongside and took care of her at Munson - It is such a great comfort that the way she was a nurse was the same way the nurses and staff took care of her in her final days. This has been a tragic loss for us and a most difficult week, but we see so clearly God's hand at work in this. We thank all of you for your friendships with Dianne. She felt loved beyond all measure.
Those wishing to make a memorial donation may direct them to the family for the care of her beloved Travis.

Dianne and her family are being cared for by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services
