FARMINGTON HILLS — Dolores Marie Morrish, 82, formerly of Traverse City, peacefully departed this earth on Thursday evening, Dec. 29, 2011, at Courtyard Manor of Farmington Hills.Born on July 5, 1929, in Detroit, she was the daughter of the late Lena Crumback. On Feb. 21, 1948, at the Presbyterian Church in Bad Axe, she married Charles Herman Morrish Jr., who preceded her in death on April 1, 2008. Formerly from Bad Axe and Detroit, Dolores had been a 20-year resident of Traverse City prior to moving downstate to be closer to family after the death of Charles.While living in this area she was a member of Grawn United Methodist Church and the V.F.W. Cherryland Post #2780 Auxiliary.Dolores enjoyed volunteering and the special time she spent as a teacher's aid with St. Francis Catholic Schools.She also enjoyed golfing, bowling and reading.She is survived by her loving children, David (Patricia) Morrish, of Taylor, John (Ellen) Morrish, of Commerce Township, and Jerry (Marilyn) Morrish, of Hartland; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.Friends may call at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 2, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m., where the Morrish family will receive friends. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2011, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Eugene Baughan officiating.
