Obituary

MESICK — Donald Clark, 91, of Mesick, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Munson Hospice House. Don was born in Cadillac on Friday, Oct. 1, 1920, to the late Orda and Clarence Clark. Following his graduation from high school, Don served our country as a member of the U.S. Army during WWII. In May of 1966 he married Alice Redman, who preceded him in death in 2003.For many years Don was part owner of C and O Market. He loved the Lord and was a faithful longtime member of Antioch Bible Church. He enjoyed camping, watching sports, visiting garage sales and auctions, as well as taking in Friday night fish fries with his friend, Doris. More than all, Don loved and enjoyed being with his family. Don is survived by his daughter, Joan Redman (Donald) Wiitala, of Acme; his daughter-in-law, LaDonna Redman, of Caro; grandchildren, Mark Wiitala, Pam (Don) Taylor, Lisa (Jon) Forton, Gale (Esther) Redman, Jim Redman, Tim (Beckie) Redman, Steve (Beth) Redman and Amber (Brian) Miller. Also surviving are 14 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.Don was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; his son, Devere Redman; granddaughter, Jeri Lynn Redman; and great-grandson, Adam Taylor.Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 14, from 1 until 3 p.m., at The Antioch Bible Church, 4478 N. 19 Road, Mesick. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. at the church with Pastor Roy Hewitt officiating.
