TRAVERSE CITY - Mr. Donald Edwin Fouch of Acme, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, April 15 2015 at the age of 96.
Mr. Fouch was born in Acme on September 23, 1918 and lived there all of his life. He was a graduate of Traverse City Central High School and Coyne Electrical School in Chicago Illinois.

In 1947 Mr. Fouch, along with his business partner Joe Lezon, established the Grand Traverse Electric Company. After Mr. Lezon's death, Mr. Fouch became sole owner of the company. It was sold in 1978.
Mr. Fouch was a life member and Past Master of the East Bay Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Traverse City Shrine Club, and Life Member of the Traverse City Elks Lodge. For over 35 years he was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Traverse City. He was also a Trustee of the Acme Township Board for over 30 years, a board member of Michigan chapters of the National Electrical Contracting Association and a member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers ) since 1941.
Mr. Fouch was an avid sportsman, especially enjoying hunting and fishing. In later life he took up the game of golf and spent many happy hours on the golf course, often accompanied by his wife, Ann. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a treasured friend to many.
He is survived by one brother, William Fouch, of Bath, Michigan; three daughters, Charlotte (Robert) Graves, of Peachtree City Georgia, Sue Pianka, of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Janice (Richard) Arnold, of Acme, Michigan; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlotte Eva (Thies) and Harry Edwin Fouch; a son, Richard Edwin Fouch; his wife Anna (Holt) Fouch; and his sisters Vera (Robert) Wilson and Betty (Charles)Crawford.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 24, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with a memorial service held Saturday April 25, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
