Donna Maria Lancucki

Donna Maria Lancucki, 69, of Traverse City, formerly of Royal Oak, died Monday, January 29, 2018 in Traverse City.

Donna was born on Wednesday, October 13, 1948 to the late Thaddeus Joseph and Norene Elizabeth (Forbes) Lancucki in Detroit. She graduated from Pershing High School and then attended college.

A medical transcriptionist, Donna worked for a private company in Southfield. In 2013, she made the move to Traverse City to be near her sisters. Donna was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, watching movies and antiquing. She had a kind and generous spirit and was a very good friend to many. Donna attended St. Francis Catholic Church and in the past had been a member of The Detroit Institute of Arts and Detroit Film Club. Her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. .

Surviving Donna are her sisters, Jan (Dan) Zolik of Lake Ann, Meg (Wes) Benner of Traverse City; her brother, David (Jean) Lancucki of Virginia; her nephew, Nathan (Heather Clefisch) Zolik and nieces Alycia (Marty) Rhein, Emily (Brett Hall) Lancucki, Alexandra (Ben) Gwathmey and her great nieces and nephews, Sophia, Louis, Ruby, Theodore, Abram, Adele and Edward. Donna was preceded in death by her parents.

Donna's family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the team at Culver Meadows Senior Living Center and Hospice of Michigan for the excellent care and friendship they provided Donna.

The Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, June 29, 2018 at St. Francis Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Donna's cremated remains will be placed with her Mom and Dad at Lake Ann Cemetery.
