Donna Mae Schwartz, 89, of Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Culver Meadows Traverse City.

Donna was born on September 28, 1933 in the hills between Ohio and West Virginia in Mt. Morris, PA to the late Eugene and Lucinda (Strait) Lough. She married Eldon Dale Schwartz on November 18, 1950. They shared 64 wonderful years together. After his death she met and eventually married Wes Hendrick in 2016.

Donna is survived by her husband Wes, daughter, Cindy (Steve) Brant, of Beulah; sons, Tim (Gail) Schwartz and Tad Schwartz, of Traverse City; 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she inspired with her cinnamon rolls, her zest for life, and her undying love of God.

She is also survived by two brothers, Gary Lough, and Eugene Lough Jr., her dear sisters, Linda Oosterhouse and Carol Tatara, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale, beloved son, Tom Dale Schwartz; her brothers, Richard Lough, Robert Lough, and James Lough and grandson, Tech. Sgt. Matthew S. Schwartz USAF.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Traverse City Church of Christ with a visitation beginning at 1pm. Her burial will take place later this spring at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
