Doris Ann Guffey, 76 of Mesick MI passed away on October 13th, 2024 at Munson Medical Center with her loving husband, George by her side. Born on July 12th, 1948, in Garden City, MI to the late Doris and Gilbert Macy. The youngest of five and being the only girl in the family earned her the endeared nickname of "Punk". Graduating from Garden City West in 1966 she went on to work for Fisher Body, sewing prototype interiors for General Motors.

Doris had a love for the water and speed and spent much of her life in the waters of the Detroit River and BOB-LO Island, on her boat, the 'Hairy Canary". In 1990, Doris and George relocated to Mesick to raise their two sons. Being self-employed as a seamstress and interior decorator, also designing and selling women's resort wear at arts and craft shows across the country.

Doris is survived by her husband George of 47 beautiful years, daughters Trisha (Jeff) Fleischer of Phoenix, Az, Kelley (Woody) Haskins of Moorsville, NC, twin sons Garrett (Sarah) of Empire, MI and Grant of Lake Havasu City, AZ. Doris also leaves behind six grandchildren, Max, Jack, Miles, Adeline, Mallory and Glen.

Doris was deeply appreciative of the ongoing support and love she received from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society during her 27-year battle with Multiple Myeloma, a chronic blood cancer.

When asked about her life she stated, "It's Been A Hell Of A Ride".
