Doris Ann Mccloskey

Traverse City – Doris Ann McCloskey, 89, of Traverse City passed away on October 19, 2015 at Munson Medical Center with her family by her side.

Doris was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and ran a juvenile home for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles, also traveling. She enjoyed her weekly trip to Honor to listen to music.

Doris is survived by her four children, Barbara Schneeberger of Lansing, JoAnn (Fred) Kucera of Lake Leelanau, John (Nancy) McCloskey III of Rapid City, and Kimberly McCloskey of Traverse City. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rhonda (Ryan) Mucaria, Eric (Jodi) Kucera, Kevin (Michelle) Holloway, Kelly Holloway, Melissa McCloskey, Michele (Mike) Carroll, and Liza McCloskey and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Gertrude (Bremer) Poertner, her husband John W. McCloskey, and six brothers.

Per Doris' wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 3 pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 13th and Maple, Traverse City with visitation beginning at 2:30 p.m.
