Dorothy Martha Derocher, 86, of Traverse City and formerly of Bay City, died Monday, June 17, 2013 at French Manor Senior Living in Traverse City.
Dorothy was born on Saturday, February 12, 1927 to the late August and Adella (Bloch) Dettmer. She married Robert Derocher on Saturday, June 7, 1947 in Bay City and he preceded her in death on Saturday, February 8, 1986.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (Joseph) McFarlane, Michael (Carolyn) Derocher and James (Barbara) Derocher; grandchildren; Brigade CSM Joseph (Gwendolyn) McFarlane, Jr., Lisa (David) Stewart, Robert C. (Jennifer) Derocher, Jolene Derocher, Amanda Derocher and great grandchildren, Ryan and Kaylee Stewart, Justin McFarlane and Gianna and Gemma Derocher. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother in law Lorraine and Roger Granger.
In keeping with Dorothy's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date. Interment will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Bay City.
