Dorothy Mae Foster, nearly 94, passed away peacefully at the Grand Traverse Pavilions on June 18, 2022.
Dorothy was born on August 10, 1928 in Muskegon to the late Howard Giles and Lena (Jannaga) Burgess.
On August 25, 1950, she married Glenn Elsworth Foster in South Bend, Indiana.
Glenn and Dorothy lived all over the state of Michigan. Together they enjoyed bowling, walks around the pond, antiquing, movies, books, reading, traveling and spending time with family. Dorothy enjoyed collecting perfume bottles and had an extensive and beautiful collection.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Glenn and her siblings Gerald (Carol, who survives), Robert (Donna, who survives), Jack (Nancy) and Patricia (Don) LaPorte.
Dorothy is survived by her children Susan Leslie Foster, Laura Jean (Peter) Zientek, Glenn Kevin (Kim) Foster and Robert Norman (Victoria) Foster; grandchildren Kyle (Amber) Foster, Jennifer (Rich) Rountree, Melinda (fiancé Todd Ritzer) Krumlauf, Kevin Andrew Foster, Abigail Foster, Joy (Chad) Antuma, Kay (fiancé John Riley) Foster, Jonah (Sarah) Foster, Iain Foster, Brittny Birrell, Jessica (Sam) Dickey and John Foster; great grandchildren Mabel, Kora, Emma, Nicholas, Jade, Sienna, Ella, Connor, Simon, Embry and four great grand babies on the way.
Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her husband Glenn at the River Ridge Cemetery in Belding on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11 am.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to Hospice of Michigan or to the Grand Traverse Pavilions.
