Dorothy Lorraine Karker

February 8, 1930 — February 12, 2023

Dorothy Lorraine Karker of Williamsburg, Michigan, age 93, died on Sunday February 12, 2023. She was born to Leslie and Prudence (McDonald) Fulton on February 8, 1930 at Barr Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.

Dorothy was born a coal miner's daughter, the second of six children. She moved from Pennsylvania to Michigan in 1940 and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1948. She married Francis Edward Karker August 12, 1950 and had 3 children Jerrison Lynn, Francis Edward II, and JoAnn Marie. She moved with her family from Plymouth to Williamsburg in 1967 to what had previously been their cottage on Skegemog Lake. She loved to travel and worked at AAA in Traverse City as a travel agent helping others to plan wonderful adventures. In retirement, she cherished her 10 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She especially loved singing, snuggling and bathing all her grandbabies and watching them participate in sports, music, theater, and other extracurricular activities. Dorothy considered each of her 93 years to be a blessing from God and shared the love of Christ with others through her example.
